Review: Bhaunri: A Novel
Bhaunri: A Novel by Anukrti UpadhyayMy rating: 3 of 5 stars
I've started this book because I really liked the author's work in 'Daura: A Novel'. This is a good gripping story. A fresh one too. Nevertheless, I liked Daura better.
Language is good and the book is educational in way that it tells us a little about the customs and rituals of Rajasthan tribes and their deities, of Gogaji and Ramdev Pir, of their folklore, Jesal-da. While at the same time telling us of emotions and desires.
A good book.
