Review: The Devil and the Dark Water

The Devil and the Dark Water The Devil and the Dark Water by Stuart Turton
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

OMG. We have a new master in town. Coming on the back of his extraordinary debut novel, The 7½ Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle, it was a great challenge to one up it. But this novel has a simpler premise. So, it is at that disadvantage in the race with its sibling (The debut novel). But what it lacked it more than made up by the atmosphere of the book. It was chilling. The entire book was crafted do masterfully. Give yourself a cold Sunday evening and sit with this book with a coffee in hand and a sign outside your door saying, 'Do Not Disturb', in all caps if you can and enjoy! You are in for a wild and chilling ride. And btw this is a proper whodunit, have no doubt about it, and one of the best. A must read.
